We Indians are really crazy for exploring foreign countries, indubitably foreign countries are major holiday destinations, but our India is not behind. The state shares its boundaries with three countries China, Bhutan, and Nepal, therefore, Indian tourist requires Inner line Permit to visit areas like Tsomgo lake, Lachen, Thangu, Chopta, Nathu La, Gurudongmar lake, Yunthang valley, Menmecho lake.
How to get ILP- You can get it by travel agencies, tour operators as well as from Sikkim tourism department.
Necessary documents- For getting inner line permit you must have necessary documents such as Aadhar card or passport or voter’s ID or driving license along with two passport size photographs.
Foreign tourists- Foreigners can get ILP by presenting their passport, two passport size photos, and Indian visa. They also need to have Restricted area Permit/ Protected Area Permit if planning to visit interior part of the state.
Places of Interest- Gangtok, Buddha Park, Tsomgo Lake, Monasteries, Teesta river, Lachen, Zuluk.
Arunachal Pradesh- It is among one of the most beautiful north-eastern states and it shares its boundary with Bhutan, Myanmar, and China. How to get ILP- You can get it from Government of Arunachal Pradesh or from ILP facilitation centers from Kolkata, Guwahati, New Delhi. You can also get it by tour operators who are registered from Government of the state.
Necessary documents- You need to have any government-issued photo ID.
Foreign tourists- Foreigners must have Protected Area Permit which they can get at Deputy Resident’s Commissioner office in Kolkata or other major cities of the state.
Places of Interest- Tawang, Itanagar, Roing, Ziro Valley, Pasighat, Along, Dirang, Anini.
Ladakh- Ladakh is one of the panoramic locations in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. If you are planning a holiday in the mountainous region then Ladakh will be the best choice for you. How to get ILP- You can get ILP at Deputy Commissioner office in Leh as well as you can get it arranged from tour operators or travel agents.

Foreign tourists- Foreign tourists must possess Protected Area Permit or Restricted Area Permit for exploring inner areas of Ladakh like Pangong Tso, Khardungla Paas, Dah Hanu villages, Zanskar valley. The foreign tourists must be in groups of 8-10 for getting Inner Line Permit.
Places of Interest- Leh Palace, Magnetic hills, Khardungla Paas, Nubra Valley, Tso Moriri Lake, Pangong Lake, Zanskar Valley.

How to get ILP- For visiting Nagaland you can get ILP from the government of Nagaland or you can get it online also.
Necessary documents- You must have any government-issued photo ID for getting ILP.
Foreign tourists- Foreign tourists are not required to have Protected Area Permit but they need to register themselves at Foreigners Registration Office (FRO), as soon as possible.
Places of Interest- Kohima, Wokha, Mokukchung, Mon, Tuophema Village, Benreu, Meluri, Tuensang.
Mizoram- The real beauty of Mizoram is immense and can not be described in words if you are looking for a place to relax in the arms of nature then visiting Mizoram will be the best option. It is the state in the northeastern part of the country which is surrounded by lush greenery and panoramic location. You need to have an Inner Line Permit for visiting the state as it shares its boundaries with Bangladesh and Myanmar.
How to get ILP- You can get ILP from the government of Mizoram and it is also available at Lengui airport for the passengers who are visiting the state from an airplane.
Necessary documents- For getting Inner Line Permit you must possess any government-issued photo ID.
Foreign tourist- Foreigners just need to register themselves at Foreigners Registration Office (FRO) soon after their arrival in the state.
Places of Interest- Phawngpui hills, Vantawang falls, Thenzwal, Palak Lake, Reiek Heritage Village and many others.
