The expressway is 6 lane and is about 302 kilometers long and is mainly constructed with a motive to shorten the distance between two cities of Uttar Pradesh, i.e, Lucknow, and Agra which was earlier of 7 hours but now it is just 3:30 hours. The major cities like Shikhoabad, Firozabad, Manipuri, Etawah, Auraiya, Kanpur, Hardoi and Unnao are also connected to this route. Lucknow-Agra expressway was constructed in a short duration of 22-24 months.

Earlier there was no tax collection on the expressway, but now it has been started from 19 January 2018.

The expressway was launched on 21st November 2016 by the chief minister Akhilesh Yadav.

You can comfortably drive your four-wheeler on the highway at an average speed of 100-120 km per hour.

You will find washrooms, restrooms, petrol pumps, police booths easily on the expressway.

You will cross 4 National highways, 2 state highways, and 5 rivers which are Ganga, Yamuna, Isan, Sai, and Kalyani.

The total amount of money invested in constructed of Lucknow- Agra expressway is Rs 13,200 crores.

On the day of inauguration, six fighter jets of Indian Air Force were landed on the expressway for the performance test.
